As a manufacturer, Ram Trucks is having one of the all-time great runs in automotive history. It’s all new 2019 Ram 1500 has been named the Motor Trend Truck of the Year. When Ram took center stage at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit for its portion of the 2019 exposition, they debuted one of the most powerful and capable trucks ever produced. When the release date for the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty arrives at Billion Auto Group, it will set a standard that the rest of the industry will spend a long time trying to catch – much less surpass. New engine for a new year
There is a lot to go over for the 2019 Ram Heavy Duty, but everyone in the automotive press has been buzzing with the performance specs surrounding the 6.7-liter, Cummins High Output Turbo Diesel. While this isn’t the first diesel engine to be equipped in a 2500 or 3500 model of the Ram Heavy Duty, the 2019 model year is the most powerful.
Owners will be able to expect to the updated powertrain to produce up to 1,000 pound-feet of torque. Not only is this the most torque available in the class, the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty has the capability score to match.
When properly equipped, the all-new heavy-duty pickup truck will be able to tow as much as 35,100 pounds and haul 7,680 pounds in the cargo bed.
All of this performance and capability will ride on one of the best-handling and confidence-inspiring platforms in the industry.
