An aftermarket performance shop is outfitting a new Gladiator and the team has partnered with professional drivers to show off the new Jeep model in this grueling race.<\/p>\n

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is being prepared by Savvy Off-Road, based in Corona, California. Trucks they have built for other races have counted for five overall winners in\u00a0the Every\u00a0Man Challenges from 2012 through 2016 and again in 2018. This year, the Savvy team is setting their sights a little higher by competing in the\u00a0Spidertrax\u00a04600 Sock Class. Former NASCAR driver Robby Gordon will team up with two-time King of the Hammer champion driver, Erik Miller to pilot the specially-outfitted 2020 Jeep Gladiator.<\/p>\n

\u201cJeep has been attending King of the Hammers for many years, listening to, observing and engaging the group of hardcore off-road enthusiasts<\/a> who gather there,\u201d Tim\u00a0Kuniskis, Head of Jeep Brand – North America, said in a press release. \u201cThe all-new Jeep Gladiator\u2019s high-speed locker protocol is a direct outcome of their input. So, we figured even though we haven\u2019t built the first customer unit yet, why not bring it out and put it to the test at this ultimate proving ground \u2013 the toughest one-day off-road race in the world?\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2020 Gladiator that will be competing in the 124-mile race certainly won\u2019t be mistaken for a consumer version, coming to dealerships like Billion Auto Group. However, the will be more than a few similarities. In order to compete in the\u00a0Spidertrax\u00a04600 Stock Class, the vehicle must use a stock engine, factory frame and body, as well as ride on a single shock on each wheel that is wrapped in 35-inch tires.<\/p>\n

This means that the Gordon and Miller will basically be relying on the same 285-horsepower Pentastar V-6 engine and dependable body-on-frame construction that will serve a future owner of the 2020 Gladiator.<\/p>\n
