Release date for the 2020 GMC Acadia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Over the last 12 months, GMC has all but completely turned the full-size pickup truck segment<\/a> of the automotive industry upside down. For as great at the all-new Sierra is, crossover SUVs remain the most popular class in the country. When the release date for the 2020 GMC Acadia arrives, Billion Auto Group customers will have something in store. For the new model year, the 2020 Acadia is welcoming a new trim grade to the lineup as well as a new engine option. There are a few other exciting changes being made to the popular crossover SUV that our product experts wanted to make sure that future customers will want to know about. An exact date for when the 2020 GMC Acadia will arrive at our showroom has not yet been set, but we do know that it will go on sale this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

New powertrain spaces<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

GMC has taken full advantage of its parent company\u2019s engine technology that almost perfectly balances performance and fuel economy. The new turbocharged, 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder engine will be attached to a nine-speed automatic transmission. It will make 230 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, according to current GMC estimates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The automaker is also keeping the two existing power plants<\/a> for the 2020 GMC Acadia, a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine and a 3.6-liter, V-6. These engines will also employ the nine-speed automatic transmission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe 2020 Acadia is stylish, functional and capable with more of the smart convenience and connectivity features that customers rely on every day,\u201d Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global GMC, said in a press release. \u201cAnd with GMC\u2019s signature refinement at its core, the new Acadia advances the brand\u2019s commitment to offering premium vehicles for discerning crossover customers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New trim grade<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The AT4 trim name has already been employed with the 2019 GMC Sierra. Billion Auto Group customers will be able to choose the 2020 Acadia AT4 and its bolder exterior styling and darkened finish on certain accent pieces. The automaker will also be making a color heads-up display available with the 2020 Acadia, though it won\u2019t be installed on the new crossover SUV\u2019s initial delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
