When the team of product experts working at the Billion Auto Group showroom saw that Nissan was announcing new details for its Titan full-size pickup<\/a>, they knew that the automaker\u2019s heavy-duty model wouldn\u2019t be far behind. Over the weekend, that estimate came to fruition when we learned about the release date for the 2020 Nissan Titan XD. The manufacturer will start delivering the newest model of its heavy-duty pickup truck to dealership\u2019s like Billion Auto Group just after the start of the new calendar year. Like its light-duty counterpart, the 2020 Titan XD offers a retuned version of the Endurance\u00ae V-8 engine as well as the automaker\u2019s latest connectivity and safety technology<\/a>. Performance Specs<\/h3>\n

For the new model year, the 2020 Nissan Titan XD will have the naturally aspirated 5.6-liter, Endurance\u00ae V-8 engine under the hood that is attached to a new nine-speed automatic transmission. It will produce 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. Nissan touts the 2020 Titan XD as offering the comfort of the light-duty version with the towing capacity of the heavy-duty model. Exact figures aren\u2019t available yet, but the difference between the two versions comes down to the heavy-duty model having a boxed frame.<\/p>\n

The Titan XD includes an integrated fifth-wheel hitch built into the frame as well as an Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, Trailer Sway Control and a Tow\/Haul mode. Nissan has also developed a way for a single person to check the turn signals, brake lights and running lights via the truck\u2019s key fob.<\/p>\n

New Technology<\/h3>\n

Like several other 2020 models, the new Titan XD is available with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 technology that will bring extra peace of mind to drivers. Future owners of the 2020 Nissan Titan XD will also be able to use both the Apple CarPlay\u00ae and Android Auto\u2122 suites of applications.<\/p>\n
