The 2020 model year has delivered a lot of changes to the Nissan lineup<\/a>. However,\u00a0<\/span>there is one model that seems to be left out. His story sheds a little light on what could be coming down the pike with changes\u00a0<\/span>in regard to<\/span>\u00a0the Nissan midsize pickup truck. Get to know the new Frontier<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Palmer was invited to an industry event where he was able to learn about a potential new Nissan Frontier\u00a0platform. According to the article, the new Frontier will start<\/a> with a brand-new chassis that is based on\u00a0the full-size Titan, just trimmed down. The exterior will also feature\u00a0an aesthetic that will match the bold\u00a0styling\u00a0of the Titan.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In terms of technology, it seems very likely that the new Nissan Frontier will\u00a0be equipped with\u00a0all of\u00a0the latest technology the automaker has to offer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A smartphone-compatible infotainment system will probably be found that will include access to both the Apple CarPlay\u00ae and Android Auto\u2122 suites of applications.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Performance will always be at the heart of any pickup truck. The current 2.5-liter, four-cylinder or 4.0-liter, V-6 engines are reported by Palmer to be replaced by a new powertrain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nissan could possibly be equipping the new Frontier with a 3.8-liter, V-6 power\u00a0plant that will be attached to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Obviously, it\u2019s way too soon to know what the performance specs will be. But Palmer\u2019s story posits that it could make something\u00a0in the neighborhood of\u00a0300 horsepower.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
