A new era of Nissan vehicles<\/a> is going be arriving at dealerships like Billion Auto Group in about a year. The Nissan Ariya\u00a0<\/a><\/span>is the automaker\u2019s first purely electric\u00a0<\/span><\/a>crossover SUV<\/a> platform<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0and it is slated to arrive at North American dealerships, including Billion Auto Group<\/span>, in the waning months of the 2021 calendar year. There will still be a few more details we need to learn\u00a0<\/span>about the Ariya before we know everything, but we can answer the question, \u2018How far will the Nissan electric SUV be able to drive?\u2019 According to the\u00a0<\/span>manufacturer<\/span>\u00a0and its early estimates<\/span>, a fully charged Nissan Ariya will be able to\u00a0<\/span>trave up to 300 miles \u2013 one of the better range figures in this small, but growing class. Nissan Ariya Performance Estimates <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As an electric vehicle, the Nissan Ariya will obviously not employ a gasoline-powered engine. Models of the Ariya with front-wheel-drive will use one electric motor and versions of the crossover EV with e-4ORCE All-Wheel-Drive will have a pair of them.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Nissan was a pioneer in the world of mass-market electric vehicles a decade ago with LEAF, setting the standard for affordable, mass-market electric vehicles. We expect nothing less for the new Nissan Ariya,” Nissan Chief Operating Officer Ashwani Gupta, said in a press release. “While the driving exhilaration of its acceleration and torque levels is undeniable, the Ariya offers balanced, customer-centric technology that is perfect for everyday use.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These motors will be powered by an incredibly powerful battery pack that will allow them to provide the electric equivalent of 215 horsepower (160 kilowatts, FWD) and 388 horsepower (290 kW, AWD). Furthermore, the electric motors will be able to produce between 221 and 443 pound-feet of torque. This much torque will push passengers back into their seats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ariya Battery Charging Information <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Nissan Ariya will be available with a pair of charging systems, Level 2 charging and Direct Current (DC) charging. Level 2 systems will replenish batteries\u00a0over a longer period of time, but it will likely require little or no extra equipment from having to be installed at the home of an Ariya owner. DC charging is also known as fast charging, and it would require additional equipment to be installed in an owner\u2019s garage. This is also the kind of charging that is available at a lot of new publicly available EV recharging stations around the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
