However, anyone looking for a compact crossover SUV that can perform equally well on the road as well as off of it, then the Jeep Renegade is head and shoulders above the rest of the class. Depending on which of the several available trims of the 2017 Renegade that a person chooses from the Billion Auto Group showroom, they will be just as at home driving to work or the kids to school as well as taking a weekend adventure out on the trails. Comparing the 2017 Jeep Renegade vs. 2017 Subaru Crosstrek makes for an interesting challenge, but the current Jeep Renegade simply offers more capability.
Independent reviews have many positive things to say about both the 2017 Renegade and its Subaru Crosstrek competitor. However, Jeep has, arguably, done a better job of checking off more boxes for customers and their varying needs. Available base trims come standard with front-wheel drive and handle very much like a well-composed sedan. Similar observations have been made about the Crosstrek. When the going gets tough, it’s the impressive Jeep Renegade Trailhawk that leaves the Crosstrek in the dust. Trailhawk model have a true four-wheel drive drivetrain as well as a raised suspension, more suited for rough terrain including recovery tow hooks and has a skid plate.
