Jeep is one of the dwindling numbers of automakers that still puts a premium on performance. The standard powertrain used for the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter, V-6 engine attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission, producing 295 horsepower. At the Limited trim level and above, Billion Auto Group customers can choose to have the Jeep turbocharged 3.0-liter, V-6 diesel engine attached to the 2019 Grand Cherokee, which will boost low-end output to 420 pound-feet of torque. These same trim versions also make a 5.7-liter, V-8 engine available which will make 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. On the other side of the equation is the 2019 Subaru Outback with its 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine making 175 horsepower or its available 3.6-liter, V-6 with a maximum output of 256 horsepower.
Potential owners will really notice the difference in available power if they need to do any towing. When properly equipped, the 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee can nearly double the towing capacity of the Subaru Outback.
