Customers considering the 2019 Jeep Wrangler will have a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter, V-6 engine attached to a six-speed manual transmission with overdrive as the standard powertrain. It will make 258 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. A turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine mated to the manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission will make 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
The 2019 Jeep Wrangler is available in four-door versions with the Sport, Sahara and Rubicon trims. Customers who choose any of these models with either of its engine and transmission options will be able to tow up to 3,500 pounds. This puts the towing capacity of the 2019 Wrangler in line with the rest of the compact crossover SUVs available in this tightly-packed industry segment.
While the 2019 Wrangler retains everything that has made it the industry standard for off-road compatibility, it also comes with today’s most popular infotainment/smartphone integration systems. The fourth-generation Uconnect system employs Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to allow drivers and passengers to use most of their favorite applications while on the road; with USB ports for the front and rear passengers.
