“The all-new 2020 Sierra HD is the most capable heavy-duty truck that we’ve ever offered,” Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global GMC, said in a press release. “For customers who demand a premium, innovative heavy-duty truck that supports their passions, the next-generation Sierra HD can pull like a pro.”

Building off of Aldred’s quote, it’s telling that GMC the first two new features mentioned by the manufacturer about the new truck regard systems make towing even easier.

The enhanced ProGrade Trailering system offers 15 different camera views, including a segment-first virtual trailer view. The next towing-specific new feature is the truck’s ability to integrate in iN-Command® control system into the myGMC mobile application.

All of this towing capability is thanks to the very special power plant that is under the hood of the 2020 GMC Sierra Heavy Duty. Of all the available powertrains, the one that stands out is the turbocharged, 6.6-liter, Duramax diesel engine that is attached to a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission. It will produce 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque. When properly equipped, the 2019 version of the HD Sierra will be able to pull more than 30,000 pounds.

We expect the 2019 GMC Sierra HD to arrive at the Billion Auto Group showroom during summer of this year. If you want to start the pre-ordering process for the new truck, make an appointment with us today by calling, 406-556-9071.
