Is Nissan building an autonomous vehicle?
There has been quite a bit of news about the future of autonomous vehicles in the news lately, especially in the automotive industry. Just about every automaker in the world is working on some aspect of making long commutes easier through technology. Nissan is no exception. The Nissan Intelligent Mobility Project and its ProPilot system were recently shown off to an esteemed group of experts and policymakers in Washington, D.C. Many of these projects are working to replace a driver’s interaction with a vehicle. Nissan’s track is different. Nissan adds AEB to eight models
Passenger safety is a top priority for Nissan and its vehicles. Not only is the existing Nissan lineup available at Billion Auto Group routinely among the highest rated vehicles in their class, but the manufacturer is taking its safety priorities to the next level. Starting with the 2018 model year, Nissan will be expanding the availability of Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) to its most popular passenger vehicles. Nissan Intelligent Safety Shield Technologies are a suite of several different systems designed to help keep drivers and their riders out of potentially dangerous situations. The coming expansion of AEB availability will nearly double the number of Nissan vehicles with this advanced capability.
