Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start of summer. While family vacations, cookouts and general relaxing are all wonderful things, the holiday is about honoring those men and women serving our country that didn’t make it home. American Legion Post 14 in Bozeman has the entire day planned to commemorate Memorial Day 2017. A breakfast, parade and memorial service are all scheduled for May 29. Billion Auto Group wants people to enjoy the long weekend as well as take a minute to remember those who died while wearing the uniforms of the United States military. Bozeman American Legion Memorial Day activities

The community is invited to American Legion Post 14, located at 225 East Main Street, for a breakfast to get their day started at 7 a.m. Attendees are asked to make a small donation if they are going to eat with the veterans. Following the breakfast, a parade will head down Main Street starting at 9:30 a.m. If you are going to the parade, be sure to arrive early to get the best possible vantage point. After the parade ends, a memorial service will be held at Sunset Hills Cemetery at 11 a.m.
